Finally, spring is here!
Softball and beach volleyball have already started up!
Everything seems to happen all at once. The beach volleyball
team is picking up where we left off last year. Pat, Ben,
Joel and Shannon are all so much fun to play with. We really
have a good time. I'm in several softball leagues, some have
started up some are about to. And I'm thinking of getting in
the Empire State Games again this year (whew). I competed a
couple of years ago, and had lots 'o fun. The games are in
Binghamton this year, not too far away.....
At last writing I was looking
forward to getting the kayak out. Well, it's not only out,
it has been in a marathon race. My friend John called me on
a Saturday and wanted to know if I wanted to get into the
Cortland Canoe Classic (14 miles!). I said 'sure when is
it?' He said, 'tomorrow!' So we went early on Sunday
morning. There were lots of folks there that I knew
including Kit and his wife from the Camillus kayak shop. We
won't talk about Kit's finish:) but his wife came in 2nd,
just ahead of me. Congrats!
